As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be involved in managing and executing projects from the feasibility phase through to design, specification writing, site supervision, commissioning, and system qualification. To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate the following qualities:

Profile

As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and executing projects from the feasibility phase, through design, drafting technical specifications, site supervision, and all the way to commissioning and qualification of installations.

• Translating client requests and functional needs into technical specifications in the field of electricity.

• Defining optimal technical solutions.

• Preparing cost estimates and project schedules while taking into account all relevant constraints.

• Drafting detailed specifications for electrical equipment and materials to be procured.

• Supervising the detailed electrical design phase.

• Performing electrical sizing and calculations, overseeing installation contractors to ensure proper execution of the project, in compliance with safety rules, deadlines, and quality standards.

• Supervising commissioning and assisting with system start-up.

• Adapting priorities and demonstrating flexibility in a constantly evolving environment.

• Taking a step back from day-to-day operations to identify opportunities to improve project and site management efficiency.

Profile

• You hold a degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

• You have a solid understanding of applicable regulations and standards (RGIE, Low Voltage Directive, Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive, ISO 13849-1, ATEX standards, Machinery Directive, etc.).

• You are familiar with the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

• You have hands-on knowledge in electrical systems such as high and low voltage distribution, MCC panels, variable speed drives, lighting, small power, lightning protection systems, grounding networks, fire detection, etc.

• You are fluent in French and have a very good command of English, both spoken and written.

• You have a good working knowledge of Elec Calc software.

• You are proficient with MS Office tools.

• You enjoy and excel at working in a team environment, always aiming for overall project success (timeline, quality, cost, safety, etc.).
